For anyone looking for a cheap, quick, and easy- plug-in multi-region dvd player....THIS TOSHIBA IS IT. It only took me five minutes, start to finish: to unpack, glance at the manual, connect to TV, plug it in, and voila! play a UK DVD! Toshiba even supplies the connector cords and two batteries for the remote! It doesn't get any better than that.

I watch a lot of British media, so I figured get a region free DVD player so I can get DVDs not available on region 1 DVD. This DVD player works amazingly.
